KANALCOIN NEWS – A number of countries are taking international Blockchain Tech-based solutions as an answer in the challenge of preventing further outbreaks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. One of them is the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is the latest country to propose a solution that relies on the distributed database. The UAE Ministry of Community Development, or MOCD for short, has started using digital channels to provide government services.

MOCD will rely on the use of digital identities through Blockchain Tech-based systems and chat systems to authenticate official digital certificates and other documents. This is done to eliminate the need for users to leave their homes. And according to local media, so far the Blockchain system implemented has been able to process 2,919 types of documents which will allow the ministry to manage customer flows. UAE Minister of Community Development, Hessa Essa Buhumaid said that

“This step is an act of affirming the ministry’s commitment to ensure the continuity and flexibility of all government services, bearing in mind the government’s smart directives to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”.

So to realize this step, users and customers can get this service through the ministry’s official website and also smart applications.

Not only in the UAE, Blockchain Tech is also used as a solution by companies in other countries in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. One example is Alipay which, in collaboration with the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission and the Department of Economics and Information Technology, launched a Blockchain-based platform that allows users to track demand and medical supply chains in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Apart from that, there is also the United States, where the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has published several guidelines for dealing with the Corona virus pandemic which contains a list of managers based on Blockchain in food and agriculture distribution. In that guideline, DHS stressed that the list aims to assist local governments in maintaining active services throughout the country amid the COVID-19 crisis which triggered lockdowns in eight countries.

Even the Italian Red Cross and the Colli Albani Committee collect donations using bitcoins and other Cryptocurrencies. This solution was achieved with the help of Blockchain Tech startup Helperbit. Where the donations collected are now used to build pre-triage medical posts.
